El presidente del Congreso, Mauro Guerra señaló que “muchas veces vemos el tema de Banco de Alimentos, vemos en el supermercado las cucharitas que están vendiendo para apoyar el proyecto, nos llega publicidad al correo, pero cuando ya ves la realidad, que ya ves donde terminan esos 20 pesos, creo que es algo que te motiva, que te hace entender que funciona”.
“Yo recuerdo que, en el 2016, cuando se empezó a hablar de este tema, uno de los primeros problemas que presentaron los Diputados, era el tema del desperdicio de la comida, nos volvimos una sociedad buenísima para desperdiciar, que, si veíamos un cartón o algo, tíralo a la basura, en el tema del agua, que déjala correr no pasa nada, inclusive llegó a pasar con los alimentos, desperdiciamos alimentos, se tiraban en las casas, se tiraban en los supermercados, en los restaurantes y detectamos que había un problema en nuestro manejo de los residuos o el desperdicio que teníamos particularmente en el de la comida”, enfatizó el Diputado.
A través de la estrategia Hambre Cero Nuevo León se han atendido a 21 mil 864 hogares, equivalente a 80 mil 501 personas mediante transferencias económicas y apoyos alimentarios.
La titular de la Secretaria de Inclusión, Martha Herrera, destacó la colaboración de las y los legisladores locales para hacer conciencia sobre la recuperación de alimentos y el proceso que se sigue para hacer llegar una canasta a las familias a través de la ayuda en especie.
Una dinámica de participación intersectorial e interinstitucional, se suman esfuerzos de la iniciativa pública, privada, organizaciones de la sociedad civil y universidades.
