Cerca de las 16:00 horas de este 21 de octubre, los elementos de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de Juárez, al encontrarse realizando recorridos de prevención y vigilancia sobre la Avenida Monte Kristal en su cruce con Brecha 28, en la colonia Monte Kristal, visualizaron a dos personas de sexo masculino a bordo de una motocicleta color rojo con negro tipo cross, mismos que al momento de notar la unidad de Policía aceleraron su marcha de manera improvisada, acción evasiva que alertó a los efectivos municipales, quienes les dieron alcance metros más adelanté sobre la misma avenida en mención.
Al darles alcance, los masculinos descendieron de la motocicleta con una actitud agresiva, por lo que fueron controlados de manera inmediata por los oficiales, quienes comenzaron con sus labores de investigación y procedieron a realizarles a ambos sujetos una inspección física, localizándole al primero de ellos, quien dijo llamarse Esteban A., de 18 años, ocho envoltorios de plástico transparente que en su interior contenían una sustancia sólida con las características propias de la droga conocida como cristal, mientras que al segundo, quien dijo llamarse Luis G., de 25 años, le localizaron en el interior de su mochila tipo mariconera en color negro un arma corta en color negro abastecida con 6 cartuchos hábiles.
Ambos sujetos fueron detenidos y puestos a disposición de la autoridad competente en la materia junto con los indicios y el vehículo asegurado para que respondan por los delitos de portación de arma de fuego de uso exclusivo de las fuerzas federales, delitos contra la salud y los que les resulten.
