Ya que la quema de basura es un acto recurrente que daña al medio ambiente, la Diputada local del PRI, Ivonne Álvarez García exhortó al titular del Organismo de la Cuenca del Río Bravo de la CONAGUA a efecto de que en Coordinación con la Secretaría del Medio Ambiente y el Municipio de Monterrey intensifiquen los trabajos de limpieza en el Río Pesquería ya que es utilizado como tiradero clandestino.
La legisladora priísta calificó de preocupante que en el tramo del Río Pesquería que atraviesa por el municipio de Monterrey ha sido utilizado como tiradero de basura que se ha convertido en foco de insalubridad para los vecinos que habitan en las colonias aledañas.
“Exhorto al titular del Organismo de Cuenca del Río Bravo de la CONAGUA a efecto de que en Coordinación con la Secretaría del Medio Ambiente y el Municipio de Monterrey intensifiquen los trabajos de Limpieza del Río Pesquería en el tramo que la afluente corre por dicho municipio, esto en razón de que se han presentado tiraderos clandestinos que se han convertido en focos de insalubridad para los vecinos que habitan en las colonias aledañas”, enfatizó Álvarez García.
“Estos lugares se han vuelto propicios para la realización de actos ilícitos, ya que el crecimiento descontrolado de maleza y la utilización de estos espacios como basureros son causa de problemas de salud que van desde los más sencillos, como malos olores y presencia de insectos, hasta los más graves como plagas y transmisión de enfermedades que pueden poner en riesgo la vida de los menores, personas adultas mayores y los ciudadanos en general”, añadió.
Álvarez García también exhortó al municipio de Monterrey, para que intensifique los trabajos de limpieza en las inmediaciones del Río Pesquería, refuerce las campañas de cuidado al medio ambiente y se evite la quema de basura a cielo abierto.
“Es importante implementar programas de prevención y concientización del cuidado al medio ambiente y lo grave que puede llegar a ser el tirar basura en las inmediaciones del río Pesquería, de afectaciones a la salud, al patrimonio por las inundaciones y a la captación de agua que tanta falta hace”, manifestó en tribuna.
“Confiamos en que la prevención es la mejor herramienta no solo para los ciudadanos, sino también para la autoridad, la cual debe ser una política de gobierno que debe propagarse en toda la administración pública”, refirió Álvarez García.
