En reconocimiento a su labor y en el marco del Día Nacional del Médico que se conmemora cada 23 de octubre, este jueves el gobierno de Monterrey entregó la medalla al mérito “Doctor Carlos Canseco” Edición 2022 a cuatro destacados trabajadores de la salud y a una institución.
El presidente municipal, Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas, agradeció el trabajo de todo el sector salud, en particular durante la difícil etapa de la pandemia por el Covid 19.
“Si el rol del médico era necesario se volvió indispensable ante los últimos tres años”.
“Su respuesta a esta crisis demostró la resiliencia y el compromiso de todo el gremio médico y por ello el día de hoy reconocemos con mucho orgullo su labor como médicas, como médicos, como instituciones sobresalientes, porque gracias a su espíritu de solidaridad y cooperación han sido, no solamente esa roca que nos sacó adelante durante la pandemia, sino también una inspiración tanto para homólogos como para toda la ciudad”, afirmó el Edil.
Por primera vez se incluyó la categoría de Labor destacada durante la Pandemia, la cual se entregó al Neumólogo Rodolfo Posadas Valay.
El especialista trabajó atendiendo a pacientes de Covid, implementando protocolos que salvaron vidas.
En su discurso de agradecimiento, pidió a la autoridad brindar más recursos para la salud y enfatizó que “la vida y la muerte, entran por la respiración”.
Por su parte, Eva María Trujillo Chi Vacuán, fue premiada en la categoría de Ejercicio de la Medicina.
Ella ha laborado 30 años a favor de mejorar a las personas con desórdenes alimenticios, creó una asociación civil, escribió libros y estudia el tema.
Dijo que hasta que recibió el reconocimiento se hizo consciente de sus actos, lo que, a su vez, la compromete a seguir trabajando con ética, afecto, compasión, solidaridad y amor al prójimo.
El Ginecólogo-Oncólogo, Óscar Vidal Gutiérrez, fue distinguido en el rubro de Investigación médica.
Ha dedicado muchos años de su vida profesional al estudio de distintos tipos de cáncer y ha logrado importantes premios con sus innovaciones.
Agradeció el reconocimiento y recalcó que: “Lo que somos, es el regalo que Dios nos da y lo que llegamos a ser es el regalo que le damos a Dios”.
Como Institución, la Directora del Hospital General de zona número 33 del IMSS, María de Jesús Castillo, recibió la medalla que honra al nosocomio que no dejó de laborar durante la pandemia, atendiendo no solo casos de Covid, sino de todo tipo de enfermedades, mantuvo sus cirugías de trasplantes de córnea y de riñón.
Ofreció seguir tratando con amor, respeto, calidez y empatía a los derechohabientes.
El cabildo regio otorgó también un reconocimiento póstumo al Neonatólogo Carlos Humberto Lozano González.
Su esposa, la también doctora Esthela Flores Tamez, lo recibió y destacó el trabajo del médico quien fue el pionero en establecer áreas de atención a recién nacidos en México y América Latina, así como escuelas para esta especialidad.
“Fue un hombre inspirador, ávido de aprender, mezcla de la academia y el humanismo, la ciencia y la empatía, la genialidad y el amor” afirmó.
El reconocimiento Carlos Canseco busca ensalzar la labor de aquellos médicos e instituciones sobresalientes de la salud que hayan participado de forma destacada en la comunidad regiomontana en actividades del ejercicio de la medicina.
